Wed Mar 05, 08 4:13 pm CGKA Stevenson cleanup March 22 |
|
|
Hey gang,
Come see the improvements made and be a part of the improvements to be made.
Looks like the date for the Stevenson cleanup has been set. March 22. Start at noon. The Dam has been nice enough to lower the river for us. We will be doing some "erosion control" and log removal. There will also be some non native plant removal and native plant replacement.
Please be equiped to move some rocks (basketball size) so bring gloves and old shoes or waders.
Naish is has supplied 2 kegs of golden goodness from Walking man!!
CGKA will provide a BBQ.
Thanks to everyone else who plans on bringing rope, buckets, come alongs, winches ect.
I will edit this post with more info as we get closer.
Can I get an idea of who is willing to help?
thanks
Mark

Hell yes! I'm there.
A few of us last summer cleared some of the larger size rocks from the launch area, and piled them up at the base of the "Point Rock" If the water gets low enough for this event we might be able to get some of the Larger rocks (3 man rocks) that we were unable to move eariler, clear from the launch zone. We will need at least 100 ft of cable and webbing
to be effective. Does anybody have access to cable or webbing?

We have stock of tubular webbing at the 2nd Wind Sports (I think that it is 1000lb test strength).
We can donate some webbing for you guys to use, give me a shout or stop on by 2nd Wind if you think that this would be something that would be helpful.
I'm at the shop Wed-Sun.
