Thanks goes to NAISH!

I'm sure I could find a use for your fish ladder red! Drunk

Does anyone have a 10'x10 "popup" cover for the bbq and beer?

I think I have one Mark. I'll be back in town on Tuesday and I'll let you know for sure.

Bad news is I might not be able to get back to town until the 25th. Sad I was looking forward to help improve my favorite kite spot. Still working things out with my clients trying to juggle flights around but it will be late next week before I know what's happening.

I got a 10 X 10 pop up.

I hope to see all of the Stevenson Kiters at the clean up, it will be a really good time to make some improvements at the begining of the season.

I propose that we build some sort of rock step system up the steep section of the dirt/rock bank. Is this something that we can do? What do you guys think about the idea? If so we will need concrete and some one that has experience with building stone/concrete steps.

Hey Clean-up Team

Mucho thanks to everyone helping with the Stevie beach.

I'm sorry I won't be there since I'm still in SPI.

But I will continue to do the daily end of the day cleanup and lost & found retrieval all summer.

Thanks again.
Carol

Mark,

Nice work man... I am looking forward to being back in Hood River in late July for the BOTG and possibly the revived 2008 Gorge Games. Good to see you guys actively taking action at Stevenson. Don't do too good of a job as Stevenson is one of my favorite spots in the Gorge. Can't have it get too popular now.

Phil, Charile is the manager for Naish's US distribution. Anytime you wanna get off Slingshot, I'll make the introduction!

See you cats, Bams

Would there be any interest in adding the sandbar to the clean up list? I know it is not the "Official" launch, but it will quite likely be used if it is available this season. It would be nice to make it as safe as possible. There are no issues with crossing the railroad tracks, so it is legit in that regard.

I see there are quite a few logs and stumps out there. The newest word is there is no money for dredging of the sandbar and it will most likely remain as is.

Thanks for the offers! Yes on the tent, Yes on the music. ( can someone get ahold of mixwell?) We need his tunes to complete the deal!

As for the stairs... I am meeting with the port this week. I should have a better idea of all the projects. Stairs are high on our list.

As for the new sandbar.. That may have to be a project for later. There is a TON of sand and logs yet to come down to the river. Does anyone have a good path to the new bar? I scoped out a trail (somewhat wet) from the fairgrounds. Other trails?

As for Bam.... It will be better than ever. It will still remain a ADVANCED launch site. Hopefully it will now be a little quicker in and out.

Looking forward to seeing you all there!

Here's an update. MARCH 22 CLEANUP Starts at noon.

-We will have some "pea gravel" to "help preserve" the shore line ready to move.

-There will be mortar available to build a rock stairway on the east bank.

-The big logs will be cut to a smaller size ready for us to move.

-Plenty of "lopers" will be available to cut brush and trim back bushes.

Please bring the following:
Gloves
Shovels
5 gallon buckets
Rock Rakes
Favorite beer mug

There will be 2 kegs of Walking man beer, and a BBQ!!
Thanks everyone for pitching in! Kiting community is awesome!
