We're heading down to Floras lake Sept 16th - 23rd. We're trying to get a big group of NWKite people to go down and just take over the campground and make it a little community for that week. Everyone should try to make it, even if it's just the weekend.

There is plenty of room to setup multiple tents at each site, super hot showers, cheap firewood, and some of the best flat water riding known to Oregon. If there is some trick you've been wanting to learn all summer but haven't had the right conditions, then this is the place to come practice it.

This is an open invite to everyone on the forum and a good way to meet some of us if you're new. Floras Lake is a great place for beginners.

The caravan is leaving Hood River on Monday, Sept 17th and cruising down the 101 lead by a duo of VW Buses. Stopping when we see wind!

Everything from really light wind to nuked out 40mph stuff. If its windy on the coast its usually pretty strong at Floras. Hit it early before it gets too gusty.

about 2 hours from lake arenal. I talked to the guys there though, and they said the wind pretty much disappears during rain season. I'm watching hurricanes and tropical storms closely right now to see if I need to even bother packing up my new Best golf bag I won at KB4C...booyaaa

There will be wind, I can feel it! Skimboard died, the bottom tore off. I'll see if I can epoxy it back together. Can't wait to see the slider though!
