I wanted to wait until some more pics funneled in (I forgot my flash card last night) but I wanted to thank everyone who sacrificed some kiting time to get out and pick up some trash and rake the debris out of the way.
I think all in all we picked up around 12 full bags of trash. The southern beaches were really disgusting with huge piles of trash. Several people went out of their way to come over and thank us for cleaning that stuff up. Although there is still quite a bit of trash down there, we did put a huge dent in it.
A special shout out to Nicole for bringing the hot dogs, Gorge Bob for a cooler full of beer and Steve (flyingdunes) for that mackin happy birthday Cheese cake!!
A great day with lots of great people!! |

Yeah, thanks for setting it up. We could still pick-up trash when we are out there, and if so is there a place to dump it or do we need to take it with us?
The cheesecake was so yummy, and the hot dogs hit the spot! Thanks Nic. Thanks also to Nak for the chips! |

It has been clarified to me that the use of the flatbed truck for getting rid of beach garbage was only for the clean up. Sorry if I mislead anyone. If you have any questions feel free to PM me.

Thanks PDXMNKYBY. Yeah, helped with the piles oh sticks and such that were raked in piles. Sounds good, if I pick somethings up, I usually take them home with me, good to know somewhere to drop trash off.
Have a good day! |
