I would like to send out my thanks to all the men, women and their families that serve our country over seas.
Thanks for protecting our country, our freedom and liberty. Thanks for giving your time and effort and in some cases your lives to preserve the American way of life.
The soldier above all others prays for peace, for it is the soldier who must suffer and bear the deepest wounds and scars of war.

Thanks

Thu Jul 03, 08 9:39 pm thanks lt watada |

thankyou kt erin watada for refusing to be deployed to a country that was not a threat to ours. i wish everyone in the armed services who are busy occupying sovereign nations would've educated themselves and had the nuts to refuse to be a part of the biggest giveaway of taxpayer money ever. we've shamed our country, losing tons of respect globally, killed innocents, made more enemies than we've killed, and shattered our country'ss economy for a senseless war we can't win.
i thank the brave people who went to world war 2/ww1and put themselves on the line when the world needed it. otherwise, don't fall for this scam.
no presenting arms here! be a hero in your head or take a hard look at why some kook group of fanatics might've wanted to do the sept 11 job. something was bound to happen.
behold the new roman empire. the emperor wears no clothes.

My thoughts, prayers, respect, and thanks go out to all of our soldiers in harms way today. Thank you to all of the men and woman of today and years past who have kept us all free!
Pura Vida, I understand your frustration with the war, I am no fan of it or George Bush either. But blame George's administration for it, not our soldiers. Be very, very, VERY glad you live in a country where the military DOES NOT choose it's battles. The military here follows the orders of the civilian government. I've been to countries where it's not that way. You don't want to live there, trust me. Respect the soldier who follows the orders of his/her civilian government, even though that soldier knows he may die for no good reason doing so. These brave men and women are risking death so that you may live free. In this case, while the war in Iraq is not keeping you free, the fact that our military members are willing to die rather than disobey the elected civilian government is what is keeping you free. They have earned our respect and admiration for that sacrifice.

Thanks to the folks who have stood in harms way so that we may
enjoy not standing in harms way
Like the eastern Canadien lady told me
why did YOU (me?)the U.S. wait to become involved in WW2 while your ally (Great Britian)
was being bombed ,,
So if we wait for somebody to slaughter the people were assholes
and if we go in and try to prevent a slaughter we are also assholes
She says you(me?) are world leaders act like one !!
I had no idea what she was getting at .
But the idea that what happens to folks on the other side of the planet
has no bearing on the rest of us is
unacceptable,
Murdering Somalians , Kurds , Afgans or Sudanese or any acts of genocide will always have unpleasant repercussions to the rest of humanity
war sucks ass
but as long as people hate
and have unrelenting opinions
I think there will be
war.
peace would be nice
don't be a hater.
It's one world ,Earth
if someone is suffering from oppression it's all our duty to help them
I know I donate my money to Africans ,Asians,Eastern Europeans ,and Americans
And it makes me feel pretty fukin good to help

Fri Jul 04, 08 11:29 am It is important to show respect to those who fight. |

Regardless of what your politics are on the war there are still good reasons to be respectful of the men and women who wear uniforms and die in them. They are doing it for us.
Raise a beer to thank the men and women who wear camo!!!
