Whay do you have to buy a complete package with every SS kite purchase? Seems like kites could be priced better with kite only purchase. Maybe Im just looking in the wrong place?

All the HR and PDX retailers I know of sell kite only. Bars are usually about $250 more than kite only.

Bars come in 17", 20", and 23".

I think a 20" bar would cover everything from a 9M to a 14M.

With extra bars you could rig with different line lengths.

Ever been to the beach and dumped your kite in the surf. . .next thing you know your spending 2 hrs undoing the rats nest with your lines instead of doing the 2nd downwinder with your riding pals. A big reason I prefer colored lines.

Or have you ever used a 23'' bar on a 7 meter kite (too much leverage) making the kite turn too fast. Or a 17'' bar on a bigger kite like a 14/15m meter (not enough leverage), making the kite turn too slow?

Or how about just snapping a line when you first go out, after spending 2 hrs to get to those tasty waves or great river swell?

It pays dividends to have an extra bar and lines and or a bar and lines for every kite. Different line lengths is an add bonus as well. . .

Then we will hear, "Why aren't there bars coming with these kites?"

Most dealers will hook you up and sell you kite only. We give them the prices for KO so they should be able to hook you up if they want you as a customer.

But having a bar with each kite is the better bang for your buck personally. It will reduce the wear and tear with just having one bar and having a 17" on a small kite is priceless as the same with a 23" for a larger. If you find a size like the 11 Rev and 13 Rev that both use a 20" then 1 bar for both would be sweet!

I price them with bar, but you can them either way. Don't forget one day you are going to sell the kite and may need the bar/lines then.
