Wife and I go out riding on the strip.
Can't see anyone for miles.
One guy comes up on us during our downwinder...and decides to 'gorge huddle' right next to us.
Follows by us for way too long.
He even jumps downwind just one kite length, and wrecks, so we have to slow down to wait for him to get back up and go again.
Then he sat on the beach and waited so he could ask us for a ride back up to his car as we drove back up to the shipwreck.
You know the drill.
Spread out-- the ocean is huge. Last edited by scottnorby on Tue Aug 12, 08 8:48 pm; edited 1 time in total |

kook out
swing the kite at him
don't give up your wave
zoom right by him
and last but not least
yell at him
people come to a surf spot to dangle-Bob?
huddle and mooch
screw that bs
Although you did say you are a surfer
so he was just trying to ride the best wave
like you.
If you watch the surfers/kiters they almost never pick a shitty wave |

I really enjoy diving my kite at people and spraying them in these situations...
for fun its entertaining to yell help! and watch out ! as your really near them and diving the kite at thiers. that encourages them to stay away ,unless they are totally dense.
by the way I do not recommend getting to close to any other rider , esp. if they are a stranger.
but usually I watch them from the upwind position before initiating the attack.. |

maybe he is scared of the sea and just wanted you to be his safety buddy.
so in the end you drove past him on the beach and left him there? if so, you got your just revenge. |
