Floods are brutal. My folks lived in Grand FOrks, ND when the erd river flooded in the 90s. Over half the town of 65000 was underwater, including their house. Takes forever to clean up after one of those things. The worst part was when the building downtown started burning. Some pretty crazy pictures of these buildings on fire with all that water surrounding them.

They're calling this a 500 years flood, but I seem to remember something pretty similar happening in 1993... sounds like they may need to do some flood control engineering in the near future.

Granola? I munch beer, thankyaverymuch.

I wouldn't worry about it. They've posted signs to keep us safe.
