Kiting... on the ground

Anyone know any PDX spots that are decent to ground kite. Don't even need space for a board or buggy; I'm happy being dragged around just for the flying practice when I can't make it out to the gorge or coast Very Happy

Is flying even kosher is big parks (with no trees, power lines, people, dog presents, etc)?

Some people skate kite in the boat ramp parking lot East of Marine Dr and 33rd. Pretty fun on a skateboard or longboard especially if you have soft wheels.

there is also a beach adjacent to the parking lot.

I call it "Diaper beach" but I'm sure it has a name. You should come skate kiting with us. What's the worst that could happen...welll, never mind that.. you should still come.

Starting west and eventally moving east! Maybe if I'm lucky I'll find 1 good spot out of a hundred Confused
