i read about it in the news yesterday.. bike race down near matamoros... drunk guy fell asleep (passed out) and ran into the bikers... 1 dead and like 15 injured.

That really sucks. I wouldn't want to be road biking in Mexico. I've seen more burly car accidents in a few weeks in Mexico than years in the US.

we witnessed a international bike race around MX.
while in the gulf area around Veracruz
the course did not include many roads that were way too narrow, portaged around those ,mostly about surviving
but these guys were determined to ride along the edge

Not many bike riders in Mexico
but big Cohones for the ones that do
