You can see by this video, if there's decent wind (7+mph), a foil can be relaunched quickly.

That is pretty quick, but he did outrun the kite and had it perfectly at the edge of the window. I'd like to see them have it straight downwind with no "bounce".

Kind of like saying, look at how fast Aaron relaunches a C-kite on 4 lines (@ 1:02).

True you, Kataku,

But in all fairness, the Hadster outran his kite as well. And the FS P2 didn't bounce, did it? (Might have misunderstood what is meant by bounce, I'm not trying to be rude). A foil relaxes when not powered up, so it might have appeared to bounce when it realised power again.

I've learned that when a FS foil lands le down, straight downwind, you can actually fly it backwards and up, then let go of one steering line to allow the kite to turn and fly (similar to Cabs Recon System). In higher winds it's best to work your now upright kite to the edge of the ww before taking it up, although, if you want some excitement, you could just go for it (>====<|> Shocked ---< (not for the faint of heart).

When your foil lands te down, you just give the center lines (le lines) a quick tug and wahlah, you in bidnets baby! Very Happy

I'm not saying a foil relaunches faster than an lei, just that it can be done fast (I think someone was wondering about quick relaunches in the Big Washing Machine Laughing ). I know my SS F 16 relaunces uber-quick with that wonderful 5th line mod!

btw, I really enjoyed your Tucker Dragon 5 vid you made. All I gotta say is watch out Hadlow Productions, because I have a stinkin' hunch that your lookin' at some vid software to tap into your creative nature! Can't wait to see the stuff you have in store for us Exclamation

Did anyone grab you on vid last Summer at SI when you jumped that boat (I was sure it was you)? I just can't stop replaying that in my mind.

OFS: Did you work at ASI?
