I couldn't find the post were you guys were dissing on foils but i wanted to clear some things up.
1.foils are not meant for the water?( i think monkey dude said something like that) Monkey let me tell you, when you start dissing on people you should do research so you don't look uneducated. The foil that hamlin has is meant for the water,land,and snow. by the way relaunch on the speed 2 is faster than your ss turbo. (sorry to break it to you)
2.the flysurfer speed 2 is one on the fastest kites and has one of the biggest hang time.
3.foils you don't need to pump up and you can launch from the water. Which means you don't need beach to pump up your kite.
4.foils are more powerful then tube kites because, tube kites has only one skin to get power from when a foil has 2 skins which makes the foil is more powerful.
5. pdxmonkeyboy I think your pissed at foils because you wasted your money buying the ss turbo but maybe im wrong if so inform me on why you hate foils.

p.s just to let u all know the guy in the vid used to ride tube kites but then switched to foils because of performance. |

Performance... I saw him do a KGB and a Slim that didn't look like anything special compared to what you can do on an LEI kite.

Nothing against foils, I just don't agree with you...
P.S. - I love #4. Are you an Aeronautical Engineer? Maybe a kite designer? They generate more power because they have two layers? The two skins are there to make power, not create a cell (which then holds air)? They don't generate more power because they're FLAT? I can see them having more overall lift when compared to a LEI, but that's it. When the kite is straight downwind of you, your 2 layers in 3D space are now one...
