India is a pretty sad place though, parents prostituting their 6 year old child to some sick bastard for 5 cents. That's what it takes to live sometimes there... I always bring unwrapped candy to give to the kids when I go there. If you give them money or wrapped candy, their handler takes it from them... I tried taking a couple of the children prostitutes (about 8 years old) to a restaurant so they could have a real meal. The taxi driver wouldn't let them in the cab & was pissed that I would feed one of the "unclean" children. (unclean, not because they're prostitutes, it's a caste or class...) Finally got another driver to take us, but he expressed his severe disapproval. The restaurant staff wouldn't even let me buy take-out to bring to the kids.
