you know there is a program called tversity media server that you can download and install and it's free.
basically it is a upnp server application on your PC that the 360 can connect to instead of needing XP media center edition. It is supposed to support streaming of any file type to your 360, if you have the right codecs installed (ffdshow). in reality, not everything will play, but some 90% of all the various kite videos and southpark downloads i have stream to my 360 just fine.
