Reminds me.
I saw a guy out on Lake Lopez riding a stand up surfboard using a 2 meter trainer kite to get around. Short lines. He was teaching his son who obviously already knew how to fly the kite really well. The boy never really fell off. And when he ended up downwind he crashed, wrapped lines, and paddled back. Another way to teach someone to kite.
Standup surfboards (and all epoxy surfboards) dirt cheap on

I know but I give him props for riding the windiest / gustiest day in 2007, registering 54 mph gusts at Rowena and we were at lyle barely hanging on 7's. Shocked

Funny Mr. Sauvies being there having no fear and ripping around. Very Happy

Thats Zack on his 4m blade. his first go he blows up a ten (blow up kite) and gets a bad launch, swims it in, gets out the foil, again a bad launch.

Third times a charm and after 4 minutes of rippin, his line breaks in the middle of the river and he swims in, gets his other bar and goes back out.

After a three hour sesh, he beats up Chuck Norris, Godzilla and King Kong.

thats a full day.
