| Did a drive by the event site this afternoon. Looked like a lot of fun. Lots of kiters hanging out and riding. How was the wind?

The wind was typical for this time of year. up and down with a lot of wholes - but i was all good on my 11M. Is saw some 9's and some 12's but I think 11m was the money size.
Then around 5:00 or so it pretty much died. A lot of people came in around 4:30 - they could feel the winds lightening up and didn't want to have to swim in.

Dude - the windsurfers were uber stoked  They pretty much hung around the very west end of the event site - there was just a handful of them. The ones that did go out had monster sized boards.

I went with the Seattle crew to Rufus yesterday. It was perfect! steady 12-meter till 3:30. Then came the hell winds

| speaking of event site and windsurfers. I hate to rehash this as I'm sure its been covered but what is the procedure now? Is the event site grassy area the place to stage from? what about the old spot can you still go there? still a $2.00 parking fee.

Someone can chime in on the exact date - but kiteboarders can use the grassy area (event site) until a certain date. And then we go back to the sand spit (the old area). Yes, the sand spit is still there - big as ever.
