Mon Apr 07, 08 8:19 am what should i do???? (slingshot question) |
|
|
so heres the situation, i rode bows for 2 seasons and decided i wanted to go back to C's, the bows were great, but i perfer the solid pull and rip you off the water feeling of a Ckite, not to mention i love trying huge lenten style loops ( http://web.mac.com/scottfears/Scotts...ges/Movie.html )
so i bought some naish 07 kites and liked them, but decided they were lacking the performence i wanted so i figured i would try the fuel based on the reviews of it being a hardcore Ckite and seeign lenten hit some sick loops...
i had two litt sessions on it and got higher then ive ever been, managed to hit a few dead mans with plenty of time to redirect, and for wakestyle the kite rocked, tons of pop..
on the third session when i went to pump up the kite the dump valve fell off .....
i knew the older SS kites had this issue, but was hoping the 06 didnt.... i wouldnt mind paying the 15 bucks for a airtime stick on, but if it happens to all of the valves it going to get expensive....
i (my wife) recently just had my first son and now a stay at home wife, so money is beyond tight, i can only spend what i sold my naish's for. i was planning on getting a 7,11,13m fuel quiver, but now im not sure if i should, i couldnt afford to replace a lot of valves...
i dont know of any other really good Ckites out there for someone on a budget....
any ideas what i should do?
thanx for the help

that's some good shit!
i never heard of hte 06 having problems. are you leaving the kites in the car down there in florida? if you leave tehm in a hot place for too long, might the glue start to break down? just my $0.02 |
if i do leave them in my car then the windows are down and i put up a sunvisor, not to mention its only april, ive been keeping kites (another brand) in my car for 3yrs without issues..
im hoping it was just a faulty valve because i really like the way the 13m flew.... |

First things first, fix that link in your post so we can see those loops!!! |
No...but the tomahawking sure can abusive to bladders and kites. that shouldnt happen on the 06 kites. It must have just been a defect, or highly used kite. You most likely will not have any problems with the rest of the quiver as long as they are taken care of. _________________ I heart dangling |

sounds like you guys (in the NW area) have alot of fuel riders unlike in the tampa florida area...
so i have a question, im 200lbs and like to ride litt, what would the expected wind range of the 06 13m and the 07 11m fuels be?
is the overlap way to much?
thanx guys

other then jason, who rides 04-06 fuels, ive only seen one other rider, whom i dont know......
i know the 11/13 are close, but i just think the 11m would be a perfect kite size for 25mph kiteloops.... plus if i go 06 then i can afford three kites, if i go 07 then only two which would either be 11/7 or 13/9, niether of which would i like much...
BigR did you ride on sat? EB? |
