Fri Apr 04, 08 3:59 pm WAROO vs BULAROO curiosity |
|
|
there's couple mini posts from a while back, but I'd like to revive the subject of the waroo vs bularoo to see if anyone has thoughts.
feedback i've heard thus far includes:
-appreciation for the bularoo one-pump, but dismay at some leakage rumors.
-bularoos stronger, though also heavier, thus riding like a slightly smaller kite
-easier relaunch with the bularoo
-bularoo is easier to turn, but harder to keep upwind
-bularoo is made for all-terrain, so if you'll mostly be on water, why bother??
-both good for beginner folk (me me meeee!).
can anyone out there confirm or deny these statements? please...express thyself. |

why don't you buy my used crossbow and not worry about it? |
Monkey Boy makes a good point
I haven't ridden the bularoos so I can't tell you much about them. But the waroos are good kites - probably won't go wrong with them. If you plan on spending a lot of time on snow or land the bularoos may be a better bet because snow and land is a lot tougher on your kite and the bularoos are more durable. The extra money you are paying for the bularoos are mostly durability issues that are required on snow and land. Thats about all I can add. |

| Hey Jess, I've spent over 100 sessions on the bularoo 7m. The bularoo is a stable beefy kite, and the one pump is a nice feature especially if you kite nearly everyday during the summer. I've flown the new 08 waroo's and feel they incorporated most of the good flying qualities of the bularoo in the waroo with less weight. Last time I checked you could get a 07 7meter bularoo for 150 bucks less than an 08 7 meter waroo and the bularoo is a one pump. |

I really like my 07 7m Bullaroo (my larger kites are 06 Waroos). I did need to replace all the strut bladders. Best gave me the new bladders and they were easy to replace.
The one pump is nice too.
You can find them used on occasion, but make sure it does not leak. The leak was slow, so it usually took a couple of hours before you could notice a significant difference. The bladder issue may have fixed at the factory on later 07s.
You may want to go to the Best forum and do a little rsearch.
Good luck.
