ok, so i want a set or two of 20m lines, but i dont really want to cut them myself. i am afraid i will screw it up. so what are my other options?
possibly buy a set of 20m lines from ozone? but i'd rather not pay that much for lines when i can get them on the cheap here.
try to get a ranger 20m line set from slingshot? maybe but i dont see any on buyslingshotsports.com
do any other brands make 20m line sets that i could put on my SS bar?
what are your guys thoughts? what are other peoples experiences with cutting lines themselves and making custom lengths? any kitemares caused by this? |

Naish kites in 2008 come with 20 meter lines. You could buy a set. _________________ Cleverly disguised as an adult...

i had good luck cutting down lines. Just 'un-sew' the factory loop at the end and slide the line covering (can't remember the name) way up the line. Measure out the line, cut, then slide the line cover down to the 'new' end of the line. Do your knot at the end, and it will work fine.

| Wind Wing sells some 20m lines. I think they're around $65 or so. |

The windwing lines aren't bad. I was going to pick up a pair of 20m lines for kite loops as yesterday at Lyle I had a loop go bad when the kite didn't make it back up to the zenith in time. I bounced off the water and rode away from it!
This is what short lines are supposed to help with right? |

| Yep, although a 3m change doesn't help as much as one would like. It helped me be more comfortable looping the small kites, but wasn't enough to loop the bigger sizes really hard. Liquid Force also sells 20m lines, although you might need to special order them. |

| 20m lines aren't going to make that much of a difference if your kite stalled (though your loops may be a bit faster). Could have been the wind, or the way it was sheeted. Ruben does it for the way the kite flies. |

yea, I got yanked pretty hard. I think it was me just resisting the pull to long and not popping just right. Mid-flight I just felt everything go slack for a moment and that's when the kite stopped climbing. Still fun as hell though! |
