So in an attempt to get in shape for the upcoming season I dusted off some of my exercise equipment and I uncovered the dreaded "forearm blaster". My climber friends and I used this thing to develop massive forearm and grip strength.

If your a fan of unhooked moves and want to develop ape like hand and forearm strength, give this one a try. You will be AMAZED at the forearm pump this thing will deliver. It is truly brutal.

Take a foot of 3", or if you have big hands, a 4" diameter piece of PVC pipe. Drill a hole through the middle and thread a heavy string or lite rope about 4' long through the middle. Now attach a 2lb or 5 lb weight to the other end of the string.

With your arms held straight out in front of you, elbows locked, roll the weight until it reaches the pipe, then slowly unroll. At first, you will be able to do this maybe twice. Your forearms will be SCREAMING!!

Don't forget to strengthen those shoulders too. To much grip strength and not enough shoulder strength resulted in me dislocating a shoulder last year in June. You guys remember all my crazy contraptions...
