If you are in the gorge during the first week in July, gorge is the second best place to kite.
The coast is the first.
Nah I take it back. Just go to the Gorge. It's crowded here at the beach anyways. No where to launch your kite. The sandbar in Hood is perfect for beginners and it's fun maneuvering around them. Gusty crappy wind here at the beach and the waves are such a pain in the ass. And you need a lot of sun to kiteboard. In the gorge you can get a really sweet tan. See you there! In July there is really no need for second best, but it would be nice to have less kiters in the Gorge so I would say go for the coast |
