Tucker and I planned on riding Thursday... Spent 6 hours this afternoon tearing off my friend's S2000 tranny to swap clutches, and will now have another 6 hours of shit tomorrow. Fuck! Definately wearing the drysuit and gloves though. Probably no booties! Thumb's Up

You'll be missing one vital part, really. There's one part that has to come from the warehouse. Wednesday, windy, sunny, 60 degrees. Thursday, not as good. Parts, available Thursday. Hell parts are always a problem. Your friend will believe it. You can believe it if you want to... Very Happy

I'll be heading out at 3. should be there by 3:30. I have a spare pair of booties (11) and a spare pair of thick neoprene gloves.

3-3:30 for me. Gotta dry out the gear from the lit up Doug's session yesterday! 5-4-3 wetsuit, gloves, and booties are key. The rev's are sooooo sick! Cool

MMM - Socked in at my house in Portland right now. Stevo is reading E9. Nak - I'm shooting for @ 12 - 1 arrival as well, but I'm a little skeptical it will be on by then. - C

anybody know where I can find info on the water temps? Want to compare it w/ what I've been getting on the coast.

WindOnTheWater says it is blowing pretty good at Rooster right now

Bonneville - http://www.nwd-wc.usace.army.mil/ftppub/water_quality/bon.txt

South Beach, Newport - http://www.ndbc.noaa.gov/station_page.php?station=sbeo3

These are the two I always use. Figure it's probably a few degrees colder up north on the coast right now.

Corbett's gusting to 22, Rooster sensor gusting to 17 now. I'm guessing current wind at Rooster 20 - 25... But 34 degrees is too cold! Shocked Weather.com says 51 degrees at noon, so I'm still thinking 12:30 or 1:00...

Looks like it's ON. Hope for a sharp increase in air temp tho. Any idea if it's sunny? I have to get rid of iKite - there are more sensors on WOTW Confused

Heavy fog here in Camas, but on the side of the hill away from the river. (31 degrees here.) Temp in downtown Camas is already 40, dew point is 33, So my guess is that the fog has cleared on the river. Should be sunny now or soon! Very Happy

Forrest just drove by Rooster on way to airport. Said it's plenty windy out there. Just wait for it to warm up a bit and it's on. Thursday and Friday look good too. I might wait until Thurs so my gear arrives. Have fun and post a report if you go!

Sitting at the airport now...

Yea, I saw that the wind was doing weird stuff in Troutdale. It always does weird stuff there. The planes are taking off to the east which means east wind at the airport. Go get it!

The water level at Rooster was high, noticed that the marsh land just north of 84 before the Troutdale exit when your heading west was also wet. You can still drift launch from the shallow water near the parking lot just fine.
