Its an octane machine but it is a flat kite with the rounded out wing tips. I know the machines were huge and the octanes were c kites but im not sure about this one. Maybe wrong grapics printed on the kite? or a cover up for a new kite? I will try to get pics of it.

Never heard of it dude. You buying a kite on ebay? I'd be skeptical of anyone who can't convey the brand/model/type of kite for sell.

Do you have a link? All of the Octanes had a "M" on it like the machines... they were essentially the same graphics.

Dude, this is the kite you want to learn on...http://classified.iwindsurf.com/classifieds.pl?db=kiteboards&website=&language=&session_key=&search_and_display_db_button=on&results_format=long&db_id=42674&query=retrieval&photo_size=full

I learned to kite with this same exact kite and it was very "fun". Many people will tell you that you want a kite that will depower or relaunch easily when your learning but this really isn't true. You want a fiercely powerful kite that kind of has a mind of its own. Intorducing...the 02' fuel.

No i may buy it from a guy down at the beach. The only thing that is throwing me off is that its a flat kite but the machines and octanes were not flat. If i can get pics i will post them. Its has bridle attachments all across the LE. Maybe four line conversion? 5th line?

seems like i remember my 2006 8m slingshot octane, said octane machine on it.

i'm pretty sure all the octanes said octane machine because of their similiar canopy / batten combination.

look here, you can see the word machine above the word octane in the photo.

if it is a flat kite with rounded wingtips that says octane machine then i dunno.

yea, that picture is what made me think the seller may be pushing a prototype. i still got some 08 octane prototypes that i never returned to tony, oops, but i would never sell them.

spike_101, if i were you, buyer beware, i would never buy a prototype kite; unless it was a final revision prototype (wait nevermind, i would never BUY a prototype), but even then sometimes bridles and other things get changed right before and after production. Confused also if it is a prototype kite, then it is highly possible the seller paid nothing for it and probably shouldn't be selling it. of course he may have gotten the OK to sell it, i have no idea. just MO.
