|
Hi,
I went to the gorge in 2001 and 2002 with my "flying matress" foils and rode at Rufus and the sandbar...Rufus was not exactly ideal with the large rocks for self launching.
Anyway, was wondering if anyone knows some sandy/grassy spots for self launching in the gorge other than the sandbar and the speed run at lyle?
I've haven't been home to the gorge in a loooong time and will finally get a vacation this coming summer. I kite in reefy spots here so the arcs work well here regarding spare parts and no bladders etc. would like to use them in the gorge as well since buying new kites gets spendy.
thanks folks,

| The Sandbar in Hood River is huge. We had a flooding event on Mt Hood in November of 2006 which gave us several acres of Sandbar. Your kites will work perfect there. |

| I hear the event site has a lot of grass that will work well for self-launching |
