| if you get a mt board get a mbs i broke my gi in thirds. i motley ride a ground board all season and i think it is safer for a beginner beacuse you need less power. |

I have an MBS Renegade - they're cheap and tough.
I love riding my mtn board in the surf, and blazing through big shallow tidepools on a sunny summer day at the beach!
Tips:
1 Be sure you disassemble, wash and grease your board when you're done!
2 Don't hook into a foil w/o depower on a mountain board - if your arms are tired, it's time for a break.
3 If you're on sand, air down the tires to almost flat - or you will pitch-pole through creeks, soft sand etc. This inevitably happens in front of spectators at speed!
4 Finally, save the jumping for the water... I know it's hard to resist, but this becomes clearer when you're 15 ft in the air over packed sand.
Have fun! |
