Unless it stays windy enough to warrant heading to the airport for a little skate kite action. I was going to head to irvington park for a little plane flying.

4:30 or 5 ish.

yeah, you'll be sporting that right into the ground! Might as well put it in the trash compactor now. Electric? Gas? It's doomed anyhow...

shiiiiieeeeet. I'll launch that thing from my hand and if there is no wind, I'll hover it in front of me and grab it out of the sky to land it. Anywho, here is a link to the pylon racer I land darted a couple years ago. I never clocked it but people with the same set up were clocked at 130+mph!!

130 real mph. scale speed I guess would be like mach 3 or some shit.

Check out this video.. fast electric planes are FAST!!!

The low rate (high speed) control surface throws on my pylon racer were 1/8 th of an inch.

SWEET! Does yours just run on LiPo packs?

I have a 45" Extreme Flight Extra 300 that I've converted to nitro (O.S. 32 SX). Haven't gotten around to the electronics on it yet, but I'm not sure how it's going to fly anyways. Weighs twice what it's supposed to, but has three times the power to weight. Unlimited vertical?

yeah, just 3 cell lippo's. 2100mah's

In terms of your nitro conversion....it's probably going to fly like...well.....like shit. despite the power to weight ratio being huge, the wing loading (weight/wing sq. footage) is going to be super high. So your going to need to fly it pretty fast and it won't do 3d maneuvers very well because the stall speed and wing loading is so high. It will however fly in a straight line very fast which is fun in its own right. But, and this is a big but, that plane has very big control surfaces and if you fly it to fast, flutter will rip them off the plane and then..bye bye.

Kramer, your wrecked RC vehicles list was pretty funny. I thought I would post mine for you to enjoy. Has anyone else smashed a couple dozen planes?

Kramer's list..
Most Remembered Wrecked Shit: Ask me about them sometime!

(2) Kalt 22cc helicopters (lawnmower pull-start kind w. real gas)
.60 E-Z P-51 (barnstormers tree)
F-16 slope soarer (Pacific Ocean)
.60 kit found at garage sail (dumped into SF bay)
4 Cox Cessna's (Ready-to-Crash types)
Goldberg olympic lady sailplane (Tahoe Tree)

My list.

1. tower hobbies trainer 40. Smashed into football field goal post on landing approach.(1980's)
2. Eaglet.. tore off wings on ill fated high speed dive.wings probably still on top of warehouse at delta park.(1993)
3. diamond dust. flew out of sight, never did recover the plane. Sad
4. GP 40 size fun fly with .65 motor. cracked frame after hard landing, ignored and lunched again, full throttle vertical climb, tore plane in half.(2001)
5. GP super sportster. over 100 hours building this thing. madden flight 1 minute, bad judgment high speed crash total loss.(2004)
6. GP U-can-do 3d. great plane. high pitch prop caused too much speed, flutter tore elevator off...complete loss. (2004)
7. Stinger pylon racer. 130+ mph. super fun and super stressful. one false twitch on the sticks...lawn dart at top speed. EVERYTHING destroyed! Even the lippo battery caught fire!(2006)

Good times!!
