I was kiting there right around 3:30 (someone else was packing up when I got there), but the only place to launch was upriver near the island/sand dune thing, which I'm not sure if you can see from the parking lot.

It's awesome to finally be the guy on the water instead of reading about how great it is while I'm at work.

I should also say 'hi' since I'm new to the forums and to kiteboarding. Hopefully I'll see you guys out there sometime.

Ryan

No kidding. I was bring my kite up and in my wetsuit (with board shorts over the top no doubt) and this dude keeps trying to talk to me. The dude was wearing shorts in the middle of winter and a tank top. Old dude. I'm like hey man I gotta pack this kite up and meet my girlfriend so I can't really talk right now.

I get it that it is a gay hangout but leave the kiters out of it! We've got wetsuits and huge kites. I think it is pretty obvious that we aren't there looking for other dudes.
