We just got back from a "family duty" trip to Utah. We got one day at Skyline and one day at Alta. The day at Skyline was the best snow we've seen up there, we were there during a cold front and it was -4 not including the wind chill. We stayed warm and it was epic. The day at Alta was also epic there was 12 inches of fresh and never rode on another persons tracks. It was 7 degrees that day.
If you do go out in stormy conditions at skyline I suggest you stay close to launch area. Conditions change to white out condition in a blink of an eye. Sometimes its hard to see the kite your flying. If you do get a chance, go for it that place is awesome.
Good luck have fun.
