I'm planning a trip out to the Spokane area to visit friends, and I might want to pack a kite.
Does anyone know the good spots out there?
How consistent is the wind?
My friends want to go snowboarding at Mt. Spokane, and so places near there would be ideal. |

| Hi All, YES would be my answer especially since we snowkite here and we are getting dumped on right now. Looking at steady SSW 10-15 right now, which could easily pick up or even clean up from the NE. I live in Cd'A and we kite the Prarie in Rathdrum. Where do you guys kite? PM me as well if you all want to hook up. Looks like a good weekend lining up. Paul |

We found this killer spot about 20 min outside Spokane near Rearden. Bunch of rolling stubble wheat fields (endless) and cornice ledge that lie at the base of a appx. 1000ft high hill. Like a giant terrain park.
The wind comes in uninterrupted since you're a bit higher up than in Spokane. Definitely be going again this weekend. |
