Well after doing some research i found an amazing place. Mckinzie Pass. Its located outside of sisters oregon and not far from Bend. It sits at about 5,400 feet. Plenty of snow coverage. Open to all directions of wind. Only one problem. ODOT closes the raod in the winter. What the hell is wrong with oregon? There are zero hopes of having great snowkiting in oregon. I knew there was a reason i hated trees so much.

AHH yeah charge it.... 242 is plenty accesible via 126 or 58 via snowmocarbonoisiator.

Umm the issues would be your out there aways and um wind.. Laughing

there are sweet spots by bachelor moon mtn area but no wind consistency.

shays sled will let you expolre, I am sure the terrain is there but the wind needs to be figued out.

A start would be some people out there looking alot.

look at the terrain on diamond peak its amazing..

Wow the optimism is so great around here. first off the area is completly open and is expossed to any direction wind. It sits on top of hill range. So when fronts come and go the wind would be there. Oh and not everybod is rich and can buy a sled. Thanks for the offer though. I guess since we are all rich we can just say oh i think im head to utah this weekend. When i find the lost oregon spot ya'll can be sure it will be my little secret. But dont worry, ill post pics.

I saw no skeptisism , maybe how you read it.

I live in Eugene and know exactly where you are talking about.

Charge it , Its about the right place at the right time, and of course the right gear.

Yah, I'd like to find some spots for snowkiting near Eugene. I am a Minnesota transplant and missin those frozen lakes covered with un-touched powder. Not missing the frigid temps that freeze those lakes though!

How about the Willamette Pass Ski Area?

Light Southerlies and east wind would be best
we have got it with west wind also
A pass with east flow would be the smoothest.

I've never had as consistant wind anywhere(land or sea) as easterlies at Skyline
very deliberate wind built slowly and died the same way hardly a gust
all day.(and 3' of Utah pow)
Consistant wind can be found inland.
But hard to find in Cascades

McKenzie pass would be fine if it had better snow coverage, the wind makes it pretty lumpy with plenty of lava sticking through.

It's a 10 mile trip from Ray Benson Sno-Park, over flat terrain
