Hey all,

I'll be in the Pacific City area for Thanksgiving, and plan to bring my gear. What are the best spots to kite in that general area, and what should I know before I go?

Thanks,
Pete

If it's blowing north (which actually isn't too likely this time of year) watch out for bad rotor if you are kiting close to the south side of the dune. If it's blowing south there's no problem though.

The north side of the dune is great for land kiting, but the water is a little more torn up with rips and less clean waves in general.

I usually kite from the no driving on the beach sign south of the brew pub to the one at the turn around(streight ahead when you cross the bridge)
