Hello NW, Im pulling anchor in spring and headed south out of AK where I got in 3 days of good kiting all summer; speedboarding and spearfishing was SWEET. I dont have a plan to settle to quick and I know the number of kiters is increasing in the area. I am more interested in the ocean and want to know the locals point of view on beaches within reaches of Portland that get hit with consistant kiteable wind. Im looking to set up base camp and work just enough to keep healthy. Thanks

i hear there's a great place called rufus,....always windy with no traffic
nice to see your making the move down here, is kiting the main reason?

rufus rocks!!
check out a friendly local there named hein who will show you around. he lets visitors sleep on his couch for free, puts 'em up while they kite the area. board shaper guy i think. |
