Nice sunrise shots - Bonnetti, Carl, Tom and I got a nice Dalton - RR downwinder late afternoon. Wind was a bit on the light side but was superfun skim session on the ponds above sand island. Got a sunset shot from the camera phone - that was the only sun I saw today.

Nice work guys...way to get some of that dawn goodness.
I think to hit it just right you need mostly sunny skies. Last October, the few times I was able to roll out at that crazy hour it was crystal clear out, and no shit as soon as the sun broke over the gorge things steadily ramped. Probably something to do with equal heating throughout the region (clouds=cold air pockets below=gusty wind).
Who cares though...nothing beats being the first on the scoreboard. Shred on!
