Im somewhat of a wave worrier. Often I look at a large wave and worry that It might hit me. I know that since Im a kiter that I shouldn't do this, but I do. So if you're looking for a wave worrier, 509.939.7454. Word to your mother, Baker out.

Holly + Kitewing = me worrying about her sanity.

Don't worry Holly the end of the wind season will not be all that bad.
La Nina is here and she'll be bringing with her a truckload of pow pow for us all to enjoy.

Now step away from the Utube and get in some kite time before La Nina brings the good stuff.

well said, reminds of of this comic:

BTW, I've looked into this before I learned about the possibility of kiteboarding, and there is no way it could be as much fun. Where can you find long straight country roads with a steady 20mph crosswind? And as for the wave warrior, why bother with that thing when you have a kite?? The only semi-practical application would be on the snow going down a mountain to help get big air on jumps, other than that I'm not sure what you could do with one. (yes i have checked out the kitewing website, we jsut don't have large frozen lakes in Oregon with powerful winds.

Hey Holly,
Google just alerted me to this thread!
I have one!! - actually I have several. Laughing

I have a 5.5 Rage which I use with my Dirtsurfer and Mountain Board. Such great fun! Plus I have a Wave Warrior, which I've only used once, and have been waiting for some decent conditions since then. Oh and on land its easy, in water its harder than it looks.

You really must have a go!

If you were in the UK you could have a go on mine Smile

ps: check out our website http://www.wingsurfer.co.uk for photos, vids etc.

You can see that we are mostly on the beach (we have no frozen lakes either). With 10mph wind or more (I've ridden in 40mph!) it gets going... The dirtsurfer is the best as it's rolling resistance is so low. We've managed 48.7mph using a 5.5 kitewing and a Dirtsurfer. Trying to get to 50mph, but no joy (or right conditions) yet.

Any questions just shout Smile
