| Anyone hitting the coast tomorrow. If things look decent around lunch I'll probably head to Manzanita for some sweet wave action. 7-8ft swell @ 12 seconds should be pretty bitchin. Let me know if you're coming out and would like to do some downwinders. |

better have them sign a liability release before you get some innocent killed.
there's a video of your cousin janek riding wintertime lanes here. http://www.naish.tv/ --> kiting --> janek at lanes. most aren't really hollow enough, but as ramps go, better shape than some of the choppy knolls we've been on. |

| Don't worry...I didn't specify which downwinder yet. Yeah, nice ramps, but not very steep. No wonder David from Maui was so pumped after riding the big Oregon waves. We had some that were better than the ones in that video. Guess you gotta hit North Shore Oahu for the real critical stuff. |

Careful, Lanes can dish out more than you think you want at any time. It's the real thing come October on. Not an easy exit either if you have to swim... _________________ www.lancekoudele.com |

| i'm sure. i don't envy at all having to deal with sharp reefs and rocky coasts on top of every other hazard. amazing how fast things go wrong in the waves. at least they have warm water. |

| Yeah, totally agreed. No disrespect to Lanes, just still super stoked from the waves we had here a couple weeks ago. Besides, you can't beat two long ass downwinders a day with nice waves and a sandy beach the whole way. That's the real advantage to Oregon. |
