something tells me, redbeards little solar panel on top of the red kite shack wont provide enough juice for a sound system, Anybody else got a generator that isn't super loud they could bring?

mixswell has a gas powered generator that has worked awesome in the past.

Can I say again though, what if its easterly? Rooster may be a drive but its probably an even better spot to have a BBQ... lots of tables, grass. Plus tons of sand for demo kites to be launched from.

Forecast is looking like an east wind weekend... unless we do it on Friday.

Can we also get the dude that likes to freestyle. Not sure if I ever caught his name, but he was spitting at the spit at some point this summer and then at Forrest's party. He's got a pretty legit beard going and kills it on the mic.

I second the motion to have the event followed by a bbq wherever the wind is. Especially if demos are to be had...

We've been discussing rooster rock as an option for east winds, but i think it would only be a good idea to move it out there if we have strong east winds. Right now NWS is calling for 5-9mph west winds in Hood River for saturday, turning easterly. something tells me that won't be enough east wind at rooster to have fun. We'll definately make and post a decision tomorrow, but i dont think there will be enough east wind. hopefully we'll have a westerly gradient and it will be nicer than expected and pickup some thermal push as well at the sandbar on saturday.

ok, i'll PM mixwell, and eskemee (it was his friend that was doing the freestyle).

Very Happy

I am going to second the notion for Rooster if it's East... Very Happy

-and Mixwell would be a nice addition. Very Happy

I think everyone drives an hour or so here in the Gorge anyways depending on the wind or what spot they crave....so...........?

But a westerly would be nice if it cooperates!!!

His name is Avery. He's rapping tomorrow night at Dog River with Scott from Dakine. I'll ask him if he'll come out on Saturday, that'd be sick.

The demos should be setup and starting by 2pm. BBQ will commence around 6-7 when Pepi and the 2nd wind crew come down.

The forecast looks good, will be mostly sunny today, lets just hope the forecast is correct and the wind holds.

Thx for the beer and food. Mixwell - awesome job on the beats ! Perfect party weather until light rain @ 9:00 slowed it down some.
