CGKA - End of Summer Party! DEMO DAY

On September 29th CGKA will be hosting an End of Summer Party including a Demo Day and BBQ afterwards! We have invited the various Kite Manufacturers to pump up some new and/or favorite kites and make them available for demo. This provides the potential for people to try and demo different brand grear side by side in the same conditions.

We will post as to what kite companies will be there with demo gear as the week progresses.

We'd also like to use this opporutnity to have a brief CGKA meeting where we will introduce the new CGKA Board of Director's Candidates and offer a forum for discussion. Candidates who accept can present their potential contribution!

We are currently planning on having the event at the Sandbar wind permitting.

You can count on us to bring down the hand-crank blender for 2nd Wind Margarita Happy Hour.

This sounds like it will be a kick ass event.

We'll also do our part to speak with Slingshot and Liquid Force about demos.

i'm sure the demo's will start with wind permitting hopefully no later than 2pm and i imagine we'll start BBQ'ing around 6pm

In the spirit of international kiteboarding co-operation and goodwill, I'll bring a bottle of Ireland's finest direct from Dublin. I arrive on Friday night and am looking forward to demoing some kites.

If the wind doesn't show, I'd still like to propose that we go forth with the original plan of having an End-of-the-year Sandbar Party.

Our shop is tied up due to winter inventory detail on Saturday all day, but we would all definitely be down for helping to host a bonfire party in the evening, starting between 6-7pm with the intention of hanging around as late as the Port will permit.

2nd Wind will also offer to provide hot dogs and burgers if someone had a grill that we could use.
And, as usual, we would bring down the blender for margaritas and any other blended concoctions we can come up with.

I think this would likely end up being mostly local, but what is everyone's thoughts on this?

I'm pretty sure there are two grills still down there. I'll go scope it out before saturday and if they aren't there, i'll bring one. I can bring charcoal and lighter fluid if you're bringing the grub. Thanks.
