OT: HALO 3

hmmm, I don't know how to do that although there are not allot of functions to remeber. The only differences from halop 1 and 2 are you use the top triggers to reload and pcik up weapons and the x button to deploy things you pick up. the Y button will toggle you back and forth between the weapons you currently have.

last night while contemplating throwing my fu*king xbox360 controller thru my $3000 television due to a complete and total meltdown I had as a result of getting beat down for the 100000th time i realized that halo3 is everything opposite that kiteboarding is to me.

when i play halo i cuss, scream, throw things and spew sick-ass vulgarities that make a Quentin Tarantino script seem tame.

when i kite i am one with nature, free spirited and love everything. All the world is beautiful and everything in it gives me peace of mind.

when i am done playing halo i am typically so worked up that i want only to hunt down every single MF'er that ever fragged me and kick them repeatably in their nutsack thus ending the chances that they spawn more hell-bent kids that can throw grenades with more accuracy than i can ever imagine.

when i am done kiting i only want to give hi-fives to everyone on the beach and invite them to enjoy a beer or two with me while we chat on about how amazing the day has been.

i seriously hate this game. hate that its so fu*king addictive.

oh .. if you happened to be online last night and someone named "sk1d v1c1ous" called you, your mother and your sister some unpleasant names i do apologize. and you are welcome for the freebie points you got off of me..

LMAO, you wouldn't get beat down so much if you sent some invites and me and my online friends to watch your back. Indeed Halo can be very engrossing and as much as I yell "what the fuck" at 3 am , I also get to yell "powned bitch, this is my house" quite a bit. Some games I am tearing people to shreds, other games I can't seem to walk 3 steps without getting killed.

For me, Halo can be just like KBing. Sweaty palms, driving 80mph to the beach, holding down an edge, screaming across the water and pulling the trigger to go skyward.... sounds like team slayer to me Smile

Anywho, you may try the following to improve your body count...
1. get a cable internet connection if you don't have one
2. Roll with friends online that have skills, you can learn allot
3. Play ranked matches as you will be placed with people close to your rank
4. X, XB for faster beat downs ( see # 2 above) Smile

5. Realize that it IS just a game.
6. Sell your 360 to my buddy in the office

one thing that really gets me pissed is how there seems to be odd inconsistencies in the weapons at times. having the theater option to go back and see these moments only makes me feel justified in my anger.

i got film from last night.. 2 direct and one non-direct rocket launcher hits on a non-overshielded opponent and he shoots me 3 or 4 times with his standard rifle and i fall. i was above him and slammed 2 solid rockets into him and the 3rd hit right next to his feet.. (not sure how halo handles non-direct rockets.. but in UT and Quake they damage quite a bit).. and the damn guy did not fall to his appropriate demise.

he countered with a few apparently well places shots and i dropped.

i picked up one of those mouse/keyboard converters for xbox360 and it was a waste of money (i didnt pay for it.. friend did.. he is selling it now)..

i can drop onto my pc and get into a game of UT2004 and play with the best of them..

my skills on halo3 are weak and pathetic. i blame the controller and my lack of skills completely. how and why microsoft cannot put together a mouse/keyboard setup is ridiculous especially when they are selling console after console because of halo. FPS with a mouse/kb is the ULTIMATE way to play.

Any game i end up in the top 2 or 3 i am in shock and awe.

i am seriously considering selling the whole package.. xbox360 premium, hddvd player, 2 controllers, few games, etc.. but damn it just looks too pretty.. i show it off proudly when others stop by.

the new UT comes out soon.. might sell xbox to get a new processor and video card for the PC..

of just pick up a 12m Royal Era to replace my well used waroo..

PMB I think he means mouse + keyboard... standard config is to have front/back/left/right be bound to w/s/a/d keys respectively. Then you use the surrounding keys to do other things like switch weapons or use items. You can of course use the mouse buttons and scrollwheel as well.

All the Halo hype got me back into Quake 3, we've been having mini sessions after work. Its amazing how even after not playing it all comes back to you.

Probably the main difference between PC FPS and Halo is that the PC games are FAST, really fast. There is no limit to how fast you can spin your character with a mouse, so its all in your ability to control the speed. My bud who plays Halo all the time says the speed is the first thing you notice.

No doubt the top guys in Halo are very good with those controllers, but watching the PC FPS play a game like Quake its a whole different level. You can't even keep up with what's happening its so fast.

call of duty 4 multiplayer makes halo 3 feel like ms. pac-man.

seriously twice or triple the fun for me. I love the duck-n-cover/tactical style of shooter. CoD4 gets intense.. none of that run-n-gun Halo style that i loath.

i got suckered into buying Assassin's Creed (note that the word "ass" is in the title twice.. cuz there's also a lot of "ass" in the game).. snore-fest 2007 should its actual title.. not my cup o' tea at all.. selling on ebay after only 1 time in my my console.

this is supposed to be our windy season in florida but its been sour as hell.

Hmmm, call of Duty 4 huh? Maybe I should check it out. damaginc and I have been tearing shit up when we are online together. I played rocketrace for the first time and I was going to pee myself I was laughing so hard. I seem to be blessed lately on H3. Ranked up to a 32 pretty fast. Wife and kids heading east for the holiday. All night 360 session?? You betcha.

Oh yeah, if you like driving games, DIRT is pretty cool. Online it can get insane.

So I just got an Xbox 360 and Halo 3 - Haven't played video games in a while.

anyways, was hoping someone could help me out. I am just trying to figure out the controls and would like to run around on a level and kill computer guys - I'm not ready for Xbox live just yet - and don't feel like playing campaign right now. So anyways, everytime I try and set up a custom game or forge its only me on the level and thats it. So I'm this goober running around with no one to kill. So I how do I add in computer players so I have someone to shoot at?
