| I rode until 6:00, but I do not see my name on the list. Do you have any lap count for Holm Bradley? |

Mark was out there lapping me, and I only did 20 in 6 hours. Mark was on the green naish Helix when he blazed past me. _________________ CGKA Member

1 lap... OK, technically that's true. But don't I get some lap credit for spending the day helping out at the spit? 5 hours catching and launching kites, pumping up a few kites, (not mine) walking out lines, (Also not mine) etc should be worth a few laps!
Seriously though, thanks to Tonia and Garret and all of the volunteers for putting together such a great event. Your greater effort allowed me to help out in a small way. Thank you.

| should also thank the short girl (I can say it, I'm short too) for catching and launching kites on the sandbar. I think she's part of the bolstad crew (I've seen her at Stevenson), but she rocked! Thank you! |

Kudo's to EVERYBODY who got out there in support of the cause. It made it so much more fun to have a big group out there. I thought it was great when we kept sending groups of riders through the sail boats all day long - they had to be taking notice of how committed everybody was.
I like the idea someone suggested before of having the corporate sponsors pledge some $ per lap figure - the more the whole group does, the more gets pitched in by the Big 6 Kite Mfg's (SS, Best, Naish, North, Cabrinah, LF). The list above has a cumulative amount of 787 laps. At one dollar each lap from each of the Big 6 that would be $4,722 to be split between the three charities. No one company is hanging out footing the bill and everybody that takes even one run around the course contributes to the total. Makes giving it your last ounce of effort a little more fun. |

The Short Girl is Becca, my daughter, youngest kiter in the Bolstad Clan! And she did an AWESOME job at pit crew. She got Carol and I set up in the a.m., had two spare kites ready for use if needed, spare board, water and snacks. I don't know how many times she waded back and forth between the event site and the spit! And at the end of the day she and Sam let me sprawl out on the grass recovering and went and rolled up our kites and picked up the spare gear. Great kids and lots of help! Glad they were helping others out too. Makes a dad proud!
