Hey George~!!!! I ain't be no meteor-ologist and I know my avatar does not necessarily scream intelligent life form, BUT the only way you are going to ever predict what is going on at Sauvie (and it is Sauvie not sauvies) is to put a sensor out there.

It just changes too damn fast out there. It doesn't make sense at all. The clouds could be gone, urban heat island in effect, isobars squeezing together and you drive out there........ to watch people fish and get drunk.

I agree, I think a sensor would be a huge benefit to kiters and forecasters. I think iKitesurf would install one if we can find a suitable location. Ideally we would have a location that represents wind on the water and has power/phone access. If anyone has ideas on locations let us know.

Thanks,

George

she be an evil temptress. should've gone to stevenson. oh well. i keep telling myself that i can't go back to that place unless i have a sauvie's kite... not gonna buy a sauvies kite. but i still haven't learned yet. you think you might get solid 11m but then have to settle for a meager skim session.

Yup - I was lookin for you dude - What time did you end up leaving? I'm going to have to hit up Stevenson one of these days where all you hard core types hang out Twisted Evil .

Thanks Geore for giving us your best shot at the forcast - I always check it in the AM to see if a afternoon ' meeting ' is called for Wink .

Hopefully none of that NNE tonight Evil or Very Mad

Even though it's not a big deal, I probably should wait just to see which ones are used. Gonna go find that out today.

Thanks, yes it's the 12m. It's a great ride and the gusts were no problem. I really like that kite.

SI and Hood River are both reading 17 right now. Strange coincidence.

So it's still showing 12 from 10:00, but Scappoose is blowing 14-21... Fuck it, maybe I'll head out.
