Was incredibly windy. I was lit on my 7m. The water was inky black, and the waves were extremely irratic and unpredictable, but very big ! Got something to look forward to now when I move back to corvallis. There was another kiter there on a 9m waroo, he's a local from newport. Anybody know who that was? (Tourists don't really make the best kite launchers...) Though I've never ridden there, I've heard it gets fluky to the north. Spike Since 13 May 2007 1414 Posts Alameda Spelling Expert Sun Jul 22, 07 10:57 am     th wind was out of the southwest, so the point didnt interfere with the wind, although there would be some pretty strong updrafts near it where the wind goes over the point, good to get lofted and thrown into the cliff if you get too close. We were maybe 200 yards south of the stairway that takes you down to the beach, so very close. You could easily go twice as far and get out on 101.
