| has anybody had any experience with riding at lake wenatchee....me and my girlfriend are going to be there the first week of August. I've heard the launch is a bit sketch and the winds are gusty- Is there any other sensors besides the one on iwindsurf/ikitesurf.com |

Here is another sensor in the area:

The "windrun" graph seems interesting at first..
But seems like straight sensor data is better.
Anyway, never ridden there myself, give us a report on how it is. |

The launch from University Beach is a super sketchy since you are deep in a windshadow, but with a 5th line kite you should be pretty safe, or maybe drift launching a bow kite might be okay if the water is low enough.
Definitely check the water downwind of your launch for floating logs or snags that might kill your launch success.
Expect some pretty big gusts and look for the same visual weather conditions as the Gorge. Clouds need to be staying upwind of you to make it blow strong and steady. If the clouds are breaking and moving over the lake, expect some big lulls and gusts (ideally the clouds should just be sitting over Dirty Face mountain to the north of you).
Launching at University Beach is your only option, do not even consider launching from either of the state parks, you'll end up in stump/log/snag hell once you are in the water.
