Hi everyone... I am putting together a feature article(s) on kiteboarding on the Oregon coast for Kiteboarding Journal. I would actually like to put together a pretty comprehensive feature and as such need lots of help. If anyone is able to help out by contributing words, photos, and video on the area I would greatly appreciate it. Topics could include: riding spots, local personalities, conservation and access issues, dream sessions etc.
If you can help please drop me a line at brad@kiteboardingjournal.com
Thanks everyone!
Brad

PS. you'll notice on the website I only have two ads... and one of them is NWKite.com

Hasn't been done for a couple of years, but an article was published in one of the kiting mags; it was written by Tonia F. It covered the entire Oregon coast. Why not try something different and hit the Washington Coast--very remote. Not much info on that topic.

actually, the Washington Coast Idea is great. Maybe what I will do is have the article cover Oregon, Washington, and B.C. Feature the entire Pacific North West. I want each area to have ample focus though. I can easily have 20 pages dedicated to this feature.

Sounds like a big road trip for proper coverage.

Sadly some spots are under surfer mentality, cooperation may be difficult. Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing

haven't you heard the west coast is small. Wink

Road trip is actually the perspective that I am taking with it. If someone were to do a kiteboarding road trip along PNW coast they would hit certain spots, meet particular locals, and have unique experiences. That's the feel that I want for the feature. I do a trip to Manzanita every year (I'll be down there end of July) so I am going to do an article related to there but I still need lots of help to do this article justice. A few local personality profiles would be great too. Has any one done any trips in the San Juan Islands or the Gulf Islands? Some of you should try and organize a group trip to Nootka Island or another remote spot like that. That would make an amazing article. The area has so much potential. The Malloy's actually just did a surf trip to Nootka. I am open to ideas.
