I think after a year some of the locked threads should be up for consideration to reappear to see if the matured posters think of thier previous behavior 
unless its comparisons or strait up flamin' 
after a year more time will they want a leash or turn to the darkside 
or will they see the love of some good advice
or will they stop abusing homosexuals
or not 
however I must say the more my skills improve the closer we all ride like slappin hands and stuff..... sorry teachers/ students

OregonSurf.com has a great section called "Bitch & Moan" where they move all the problem threads. We could do something like that.
do you guys really want to argue about which kites are better and dog leash laws?
sounds kind of gay to me.
How about one single thread that we let live forever called "MY KITE IS BETTER THAN YOUR KITE BEE-OTCH!" .. it will be stickied at the top and everybody can post how their brand is superior and everyone else can suck it.
it will be awesome, I can't wait.  |

and to make one thing clear, nobody is stopping anyone from starting a thread that reviews a certain brand or type of kite.
what we want to avoid is thread titles that call out conflict like:
"Kite A vs. Kite B."
or
"Which brand of kite to buy?"
or
"Why does Kite A suck so badly?"
or
"Kite B is the greatest thing since four line inflatables"

| i was thinking not so much for a continueation of the b.s. but more like ,where peeps would see how stupid they were and may have grown into wiser ways and repent. my kites are the best hands down for sure ,like ft.stevens.The colors rock..... |

Hmmm, could be interesting... or even a whole section of locked threads... there hasn't really been that many though. |

Phil, I know that the kite vs. kite stuff can get old. BUt there are a lot of us out there that could get some useful information. Of course there will be people who will simply state X brand is better and thats it. BUt there are others that have tried multiple kite and we could benefit from their experience.
I haven't flown too many different kites - but I try and demo friends kites every chance I get.
If there are people out there that would be willing to share their experiences with different kites it would be helpful. Have one thread - and thats it. |

I have to agree with barfly. There is some funny stuff. I really enjoyed the JP barbie cat fights (kind of). And even though my mom wouldn't be proud, making fun of Baula was kind of fun.  |

I wouldn't say I "want" anyone to ask me questions. It's more of choosing between seeing carnage or making yourself available for questioning.

Who are we making fun of? I haven't seen anyone harass a newb... You got to understand most of what you see here is tongue in cheek... we're just having fun you know.
Admittedly the gay thing is getting old. Hopefully it has run its course and hopefully going out of style like kite pants and board leashes... |
