I grew up in the area, but this was prior to my kiteboarding days. |

or how about a little north of there? I'm going to Yachats in a couple of weeks? Is it Newport south jetty or Florence? Is there anything in the Walport area that anyone has tried?  |

| Newport or Florence are your best bet. Florence typically blows 5-10kts more than Newport. |

the wind around there on the ocean is not too good
flat water north of town on the way to the north jetty in the bay, launch by the road and look out for the power lines
under the bridge between the RR bridge and 1o1 onshore launch
Bastendorf sometimes
Floras Lake
Whiskey Run
Face Rock is pretty gusty around the rocks but just south of there at South Access(mikes beach) is good
north of there is Sparrow Peak ,a drive on beach north of Reedsport
southerlies anywhere |
