Does anyone have a recommendation for a good foot doctor in Portland? Saw a post a while back regarding knee specialists, wondering if anyone knows of a sports-focused specialist for feet/ankles? _________________ IKO Level 2 Instructor

My wife has had fantastic results from Dr. Doug Beaman also. He repaired the hack job that she received from a podiatrist 2 years ago. Dr. Beaman is considered the savior of feet and ankles. I highly recommend him, he practice in The Dalles and HR. _________________ moondog |

Thanks so much for the recommendation! Not sure if surgery is needed at this point, but hoping for some professional advice on the best path forward. Appreciate you all! _________________ IKO Level 2 Instructor

Not only is he an excellent orthopedic surgeon, he is also a kiteboarder.
I've used him twice now. Once required surgery, the other did not. Both times I have been very happy with his analysis and guidance. _________________ Kiting starts at 40MPH |

1. On front side of the treatment spectrum there are “progressive-conservative” foot health practitioners who are holistic, preventative or rehab orientated.
Read the bios of the following practitioners at Northwest Foot & Ankle, Portland, OR. Dr. Ray McClanahan is a podiatric physician with over 15 years experience in Portland, Oregon. He specializes in sports medicine and preventative foot care. His team is hooked up with cutting edge "foot forward" thinkers from across the country. https://www.nwfootankle.com/our-team/
2. Yes, Dr. Doug Beaman orthopedic surgeon specializing in lower extremity/foot & ankle. He is very well respected at the national level of his field.
Both of the above are top performers, driven athletes and forward thinking practitioners. They will have great mutual respect for each other’s areas of expertise and patient needs. |
