Yesterday someone had a couple of Naish kites sitting on a section of the sandbar, and the water came up. Both kites and the bags and gear that were on them were just floating down through the kiddy pool upwind of some folks taking a lesson. When I caught up with them, one end had hit dry land and they were starting to turn around into the wind. If the wind had managed to pick them up they would have gone flying right into the people downwind. Please make sure you put your kites somewhere that will stay dry, or at the very least, check on your gear every 30 min or so. It was a good hour before someone came along and found the Naish kites.
