Why didn't CGKA have a booth at the Windfest? I was there working and had a bunch of questions about kite boarding: How hard is it? Do you need lessons? ect...
I was selling boards, but the questions came from folks looking at the kiters ripping and the boards shlogging.
Kiteboarding is on the minds of people who don't want to carry the big boards. That's why I got into it for light wind and now I only windsurf in high winds..
Very Happy

Maybe I am out of line in saying but... I don't think CGKA needs to make it their business to promote kiteboarding. It seems like the schools/shops/industry folks could do that well enough.

Then again if schools/shops/industry folks wanted to pump money into CGKA to help it promote kiteboarding, then that could be mutually beneficial. Very Happy

The city had a booth and they were giving away maps etc.. It seems like a natural thing to do.. A festival of wind, in my opinion, should include kites.
