Well, I woke up early (not by choice) and can't go back to bed. I just checked the wind and there is nothing just yet. Where is it supposed to hit today?

Ikite:
Very flat gradients W to E across the Gorge and N to S along the OR coast means a distinct lack of wind for the region. The one possible wind maker here will be bonus heating east of the Cascades during the PM which may get a 14-18 thermal rolling mid PM.

• Main saving grace here for winds is the fact that much drier air has penetrated the region. As the ridge pulls back a bit to the coast in the afternoon, good sunshine over the desert should be enough to squeak out some weak thermals. Playing it conservative but should see some gains in westerlies in the afternoon.

• Focus likely to be into the Corridor with Swell, Event, and then later Dougs feeling the brunt of the flow but given the weak and late nature mostly just some upper teens max into 4pm hour.

-----Come on desert - heat UP!

Portland is supposed to be ~78, ~80 in HR, and ~83 in The Dalles... Not much of a thermal gradient, but I wanna KITE! Cool

Sauvies has been building for sure, but I'm not sure how strong it'll get...

Astoria-Portland:
West .02 increasing
Seattle-Portland:
North .04 increasing

Maybe... just maybe.

just talked to Cesar on the phone, only gentle breeze at sauvies right now, sensors show it might be good later though.
