 From a surfboard rider's perspective...  Not a foiler's perspective...
 That seems backwards to me.  I want my straps firm and loose;  Not soft and tight.
 
 That being said I have seen people experimenting with similar ideas...
 
 Perhaps there is a reason the concept never really hit mainstream

				| I like the concept.  I made my own foot hooks when I took up hydrofoiling, standard foot straps are much too danderous.  If you have have some old foot straps, this looks like a simple mod, which may prevent a bone snap or soft tissue injury. |  |
